88 Days in Regional Australia
In order to get your second year working holiday visa, you must complete 88 days "specified" paid work in what the Australian Government call "Regional Australia". It is commonly thought that this just means outback and rural areas of Australia. However, the truth is, there are many more areas of Australia eligible for second year visa sign-off.
The official Department of Immigration and Border Control website is pretty difficult to follow when it comes to the guidelines for working holiday visa extensions. So we've decided to build this handy tool to help you locate eligible postcodes and areas of Australia where you can get your visa extension.
Areas of the map coloured in green are considered eligible regional areas for the second year visa extention. If you complete 88 days paid work in one of the specified roles, then you can extend your working holiday visa. Areas of the map in red are ineligible.
