Farm jobs in TAS
Harvesting jobs on Tasmanian farms are easy to come by. Apples are a big export from Tasmania and during the harvest season, March until May, lots of backpackers are needed to pick and pack the apples. Outside of this time, there are still a few jobs available to prune the trees and take care of the orchards.
Another job that you could take on in Tasmania is scallop splitting or oyster farming. The fresh sea produce needs to be prepared for sale to markets and vendors and the job will usually involve working in a production line or factory setting.
Farm jobs in Tasmania are relatively easy to find and attendants will be required to help with the day-to-day tasks of running the farm, caring for the animals and helping with crop growth. Positions are available on both dairy farms and livestock farms. Crop irrigation is another farm job that you can undertake.
