ibis Styles Karratha is a well located Business Hotel in the center of town with in walking distance of the main shopping center. Featuring 47 rooms, this Karratha hotel is warm and welcoming, with an outdoor pool and a bistro providing pleasant al fresco dining. ibis Styles Karratha also features a bar, a bottle shop and 2 conference rooms, making it a great option for leisure and business guests alike.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified groundman. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to succeed and an enthusiasm to strive for continuous improvement - The main responsibility of this position will be to maintain the Hotel and surroundings to the highest possible level. The successful applicant shall be self-motivated, punctual and have the ability to work in all conditions.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience operating various types maintenance machinery
Driver's license (manual)
Forklift License (Preferable)
Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team
A willingness to go the extra yard each day
An eye for detail
Enthusiasm for the manual tasks involved with developing and maintaining a hotel to high standards

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- General clean-up of grounds and amenities. This includes collecting rubbish, stocking up bottle shops, weeding, cleaning toilets, blowing away leaves, pruning and any other duties that may be required to keep up a high level of amenity at the Hotel Grounds)
- Putting out tables, chairs, umbrellas and bins 
- Tend to the cleanliness of the grounds.  
- Pack up all equipment at the end of functions and events
- Check and empty bins into skip bins as needed during the week
 


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Standard work week is Monday to Friday, with regularly rostered weekend work
Immediate start is available for the right person
This position will commence on (working full-time equivalent hours) on a Casual Basis.
