Chef/cook

Bruny Island Premium Wines is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Chef/Cook. A person who can effectively work as a kitchen team member, run Hot Section on Head Chef/Sous Chefs day off and organize the kitchen's activities for our calm & happy small family business that is growing rapidly in Tasmania's booming tourism industry. This is also an ideal opportunity for a hospitality working couple as there are other roles available within in the business. This is a Live-in Position - Small rent required.

Operating 7 days a week for lunch only and dinner Saturday evenings you will have plenty of down time to explore Tasmania and enjoy the Island life here on Bruny Island. The position is open from end of December 2024 for approximately 4 months.

A General Brief of some Responsibilities:
Controlling & directing food preparation processes and any other relative activities on Head/Sous Chef days off.
Assist in stock ordering and identifying shortages
Liaising with the relevant companies for food orders.
Maintaining the food's profit margins for your employer.
Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed.
Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef/Cook - REFERENCES REQUIRED.
Ability in dividing responsibilities.
Outstanding communication skills.
Credentials in health and safety.
Calm Attitude.
