Au Pair

Hi! We are a family looking forward to welcoming our new Au-pair. We will be very sad to see our current one go, but she has big dreams in Australia and we really appreciate all her time she has given us so far.

We live in Adelaide very close to CBD
- May start (flexible)
- 6 months minimum (would love someone longer term)
- Vegan family ?

We are an experienced host family and live in a fully vegan household (can put you in touch with our previous au pairs for reference) and looking for our our next family member!
We are German and half our family speak fluently and the others are learning!

You:
- Fun, Energetic, Patient, Flexible, Motivated, Caring, Warm, Friendly and Confident.
- Previous childcare experience (able to provide references).
- Willing to help with basic cooking and light housework.
- Able to engage children and lead in play in fun and creative ways.
- Bonus would be a drivers license and being a confident driver.
- Wanting to join our family, but also find some friends in our city to have some good life balance ( If you like we would support you getting casual employment aswell)

Us:
- Family of 7 (5 children = the 5yo & 3yo live with us all the time and 9yo,12yo,16yo live with us 1/2 the time).
- We live 4 km from city and have a bicycle available for you to get around, use of car by negotiation + communication.
- Our children live within walking distance to school, so easy morning drop offs.
- Easygoing, welcoming and fun.
- Travel bugs, our last au-pair has joined in on interstate holidays, cruises and family getaways in our beautiful state.
- Mum works 4 days a week.
- Dad works 4-5 days a week.
- We have a large garden, and lots of toys and outdoor activities... so lots of space for active play (bonus if you love trampolines, cubby houses and sandpits).
- We live in a beautiful city and want you want to take our children out to explore beaches/parks/playground/museum and other fun places.
- We love food, wine, travel, entertaining and catching up with family and friends (you will be welcome to join in on as much of our social lives as you please)

The offer:
- Your own room with a shared bathroom.
- Your own laptop.
- All vegan meals (Mum is an amazing cook).
- Push bike & negotiated shared use of car.
- Around 20-25 hours per week, set hours with 3yo on Tuesday and Thursday and Friday.
- Occasional weekend / weeknight babysitting by negotiation
- Good pocket money $$ based on experience with any extra hours worked.
- Leaving bonus $$ based on performance
