Job Description
We have an upcoming job due to start mid February 2023. The job entails turfing (real grass) the entire Caulfield Race Course, situated in Caulfield. Caulfield is 12 kms from the Melbourne CBD. The job is right next to the train station less than 20 minutes from the city.
No turf laying experience is necessary, but you must be fit and reasonably strong. We start early (7am) and finish early (around lunchtime) and only work for about 5 hours of actual laying. If we get a good crew, we usually finish under 5 hours, but I will pay for the full 5 hours. It normally gets too hot to work in the afternoons. Monday to Friday and no weekend work. I will pay $40/h. I have used plenty of Backpackers in the past who really enjoy the work and team environment, and love having each afternoon off to enjoy the Melbourne summer!
