Herd Manager

Tasks and duties:

• Develop and implement the policies and procedures of AP.
• Examine animals and check their health status
• Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
• Perform surgery, dressing and treating wounds, and prescribe medication
• Perform dental, ophthalmic, and orthopedic surgeries
• Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
• Oversee practices and procedures in animal husbandry, caretaking, feeding, and breeding.
• Oversee the repair, maintenance, and operation of the AP equipment.
• Prepare regular reports on the AP progress and forecast productions.
• Manage and Supervise the Animal Shelter.
• Manage and Supervise Animal Waste.
• Manage and Supervise Breeding.
• Manage and Supervise the Insemination process.


Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's or Master's in Veterinary medicine/animal production/animal science or any related field
• 5 plus years of experience as farm manager/herd manager/animal production manager or any related field
• Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work of others.
• Ability to be on call and respond to emergency situations.
• Physical condition adequate to permit full performance of duties.
• Good English communication skills, Arabic will be a plus
