Experienced Race Horse Stud & Stable Hands - Start Now - 2nd Visa Eligible

Bowness Stud and Watershed Farm require very knowledgeable, experienced and confident horse handlers of young thoroughbred horses. Please only apply if your resume demonstrates extensive past horse skills and experience. This position is for one person to start now and we're eligible to sign off for 2nd working visas.

The role involves assisting with the foaling and breeding season, bringing mares and foals through the crush for the vet, feeding, medicating, cleaning yards and stables plus checking horses wellbeing. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic is required.

After the breeding season the role moves into yearling sale preparation - handling and educating unbroken yearlings, lunging, educating them to walk out and stand correctly for parades, grooming, washing, medicating, feeding, cleaning stables and other duties as required.

Must be very confident handling, hand walking and educating young unbroken stock and have previous stable hand experience. Must also be able to identify horse wellness, condition and health.

We require a commitment of at least 4 - 6 months and can employ very good workers for up to 12 months.
