Experienced Thoroughbred Horse Stud & Stable Hand - 2nd Visa Eligible Start Now

Bowness Stud and Watershed Farm require a very knowledgeable, experienced and confident horse handler of young thoroughbred horses. Please only apply if your resume demonstrates extensive past horse skills and experience. This position is eligible to sign off for 2nd working visas.

The role involves yearling sale preparation (which involves teaching young unbroken thoroughbred horses to walk out and stand for sale parades so strong and confident horse handling skills are a must), feeding, medicating, cleaning yards and stables plus checking horses wellbeing. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic is required.

The yearlings, broodmares, foals and all horses on farm require a person who understands the importance of identifying a horse's needs, and be able to competently attend to those needs and instructions given. This is a robust role so a flexible and honest team player with excellent communication is ideal.

We require a commitment of at least 4 - 6 months and can employ very good workers for up to 12 months.
