Removalist/cleaner/builder

Barlens are looking for motivated people to assist with the construction components of the business. We're searching for someone to assist build teams on site while building specialised Marquee structures. If you have worked in Installing Temporary fencing, Removalist, scaffolding or general Labour or in similar hands-on industries.

We want someone who can work well in a group and use this position to progress in the company. Working in Canberra and surrounding regions on large events this position is a great opportunity for anyone looking to advance their career and secure a full-time position.

With a tight schedule moving into the key event season, a successful applicants will be a motivated self-started with a strong work ethic. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced, energetic environment, while embracing the team culture. The ideal applicants will receive experience working in construction and Event and another similar field being also happy to embrace all other departments of the business when required.



Essential skills for the position:

Be physically fit and capable of manual labour in a fast-paced environment
Able to work in a team
Can do attitude and team spirit
Time management skills
Drivers License would be helpful.


Role:

Your role will be to work directly with teams and operations departments to coordinate build timelines and ensure the job is delivered to the highest level of quality. You will be the player on projects/builds taking place in all locations and reporting back to your team leader.

Leading and motivating your team
Loading and unloading trucks
Setting up marquees & stages
Installation of temporary floor systems
Setting up exhibitions
Rolling tables in and out onsite
Stacking/unstacking of chairs
Other duties as required
