Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join on a permanent full-time basis an organisation located in Robinvale Victoria as Human Resources Manager.
Established in 2009, Orchard Tech is a leading Contract Management Company to the Australian agriculture and horticulture industries. Our highly qualified team has decades of experience in a diverse range of tasks, enabling us to provide skilled and semi skilled labour resources to meet the evolving demands of our clients.
In 2018, Orchard Tech became an approved seasonal worker program employer. This allows us to provide skilled staff on an ongoing basis during periods when it has traditionally been very challenging to meet the demands of harvest.
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to be based in Robinvale Victoria. You will be reporting directly to our existing senior management team and by providing timely and effective guidance, coaching and support services in relation to the execution of Strategic, Transactional, Human Resources, Industrial and Employment Relations initiatives and practices.
- Providing HR advice and guidance to employees and leaders across various teams regarding policies, awards, best practice, and legislation.
- Providing all HR functions including but not limited to development and training, performance management and employee relations, complaints and disputes.
- Reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures, job descriptions, checklists etc.
- Coordinating all injury, WorkCover and rehabilitation programs as required.
- Ensuring compliance with best practice, laws and regulations governing employment practices.
- Handling sensitive issues and advising the business on appropriate resolution.
- Maintaining accurate employee records in the HR Information system while continuously looking to improve Human Resources processes, systems and procedures.
- Manage, monitor and review employee and team performance of direct reports, providing coaching, feedback and staff development opportunities as required
Skills and Experience
- Qualification in HR or similar.
- The ability to think strategically and take initiative when it comes to problem solving.
- Exceptional communication, coordination and organisational skills.
- Have a good understanding of Awards, Fair Work and relevant legislation.
- Be willing to learn and understand the legal obligations that the company adheres to under the PALM and SWP programs.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise, multitask and be highly organised.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
