We are looking for a creative thinker with excellent writing and research skills who is driven to create the best content for our audience and brand, and are passionate about positioning us as the go-to in our space.

As our primary in-house copywriter you will write and edit copy for a variety of channels (including print, web, mobile, and social media), working closely with marketing to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. Thorough research will be required to understand our industry, products/services, branding, and marketing goals across our business and leisure markets. The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style.


Objectives of this Role

Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative small team environment, generating a consistent drumbeat of quality copy with fast turnarounds.
Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with our audience and drives action.
Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the target audience at hand
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and related industry trends.
Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

Research and understand our target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research/material, industry sources, surveys.
Listen for content opportunities. Uncover different angles, content gaps, and storytelling ideas that will make content stand out.
Seek / re-purpose / create quality copy for a range of communications materials.
Revise copy based on internal feedback/direction.


Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years professional copywriting experience with solid portfolio of work
Exceptional writing and research skill
Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
Knowledge of writing for SEO
Proficiency in Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, english, communications, or related discipline
Social media or content marketing experience a plus
Proofreading experience and familiarity with basic style guides a plus
Experience working with content management systems, Drupal, etc.
A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
