Water Meter Reader

Job Description

The meter readers role is to provide accurate and timely reads for water meters and transcribe the information correctly into the company supplied handheld device. No previous experience required!


About the role:

To read the meters on allocated routes accurately and in a timely manner.
To be able to read all types of water meters installed at a property.
Ensure no reads are kept to a minimal and if above the average, need to try and obtain more reads
Ensure No Read codes & Comment codes are entered for every no read
Ensure Comment codes are entered for every high/low reading, nil consumption and new meters
Ensure new locations, grid references and warnings are updated on the Handheld Device.
To work in conjunction with all other meter reading personnel to ensure that all the client’s meters are read within the KPI timeframes
Report potential hazards and safety issues to the Account Manager.


About You:

Sound knowledge of all areas / Suburbs of Sydney
Sound knowledge of meter reading functions and meters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be willing to have or undertake a police check and undertake a medical.
Current unrestricted NSW Driving Licence and a reliable vehicle
