Groom/rider & Au Pair

Au Pair & / or Horse Rider

We are are a family of four with two children, one is in school full-time (Age 6), and the other is starting pre school in the new year, (Age 4).

We are a family run cattle and cropping farm located 30 minutes outside Quirindi NSW, 4.5 hours north of Sydney. There is a daily train too and from Sydney and has an airport just over an hour away. We are looking for an individual to help with a combination of childcare duties & horse management, for the right applicant.

We are busy family, so we need someone to give us a hand juggling the children’s morning & after school routine, general household duties & with the horses or in our events business. There will be the opportunity to attend horse shows to meet new people.

The most important thing is the the candidate is fun, easy going and is a self starter. If you are not a confident rider, but would be interested in an Au Pair position, please apply as this is a flexible position.


For an applicant who is a strong rider, we are looking for someone to help with daily exercising of horses, feeding, rugging and general horse care at home and at competitions. The right candidate is a confident and experienced horse rider who can work independently and has attention to detail. You will have the ability to bring your own horse if you wish. There will be plenty of competitions, so competition experience is favourable however not essential.

The position includes a wage with a comfortable accommodation in a private cottage, wifi, and access to vehicle if you don’t have your own. This position is 5 days per week and does include weekends. Weekends off can be arranged.

Ability to sign off for 2nd/3rd year visa holders. This position is for a minimum of 6 months and would be ideal for a 3rd year Visa or a gap year. Immediate start and must be available until the end of May.
