Carpenters Or Trade Assistants

The Company
Based in Bibra Lake, our client manufactures custom built caravans / portable accommodation and utility units that are used for remote mining operations. Due to an increased demand in our clients’ products, they are currently seeking either Trade Qualified Carpenters or skilled Trade Assistant to join their team.


The Role
The caravans are built in several stages which include;
• Trailer Manufacture
• Caravan Frame Build
• Panel Cutting & Fixing
• Plumbing & Electrical Fit Out
• Cabinets, Doors and Window Installation
Working from a trailer chassis, the manufacturing process includes panel cutting and installation through to final fit out, with the following key tasks required;
• Assist Carpenters/Cabinet makers
• Working off detailed diagrams
• Measure & Cut Panels (Mainly insulated panels)
• Fixing in C Channels and Structs
• Fitting panels on trailer frames
• Fitting doors and windows
• Fitting Cabinets, desks and fixtures


The Candidate
Ideally, we are seeking a candidate that is a trade qualified or have experience doing any of the following;
• Carpenter
• Cabinet Maker
• Shop Fitter
Candidates that do not possess a trade qualification are still encouraged to apply as long as they competent in carrying out the key responsibilities listed in this ad.
High on our list are candidates that have worked in the following;
• Portable Building Manufacture
• Caravan Manufacture
• Shop Fit Out
• Construction
Due to the nature of the business, there is a possibility of Site Work being involved in this role. Site work will include, but is not limited too;
• WA & Interstate travel
• Towing Caravans to or from remote camps for set up
• Set Up or Pack Up of camp sites
• Food and Accommodation fully provided

In addition, we are seeking a candidate that possess the following skills and personality traits

• Manual Driving License (Experience Towing Trailers/Caravans is a bonus)
• Considers themselves as possessing a very strong work ethic, especially in time keeping & attendance
• Conducts themselves in a highly professional manner at all times
• Exceptional communication skills – written & verbal
• Be able to work under pressure where tight deadlines occur regularly
• Have attention to detail in all facets of your work
• Have excellent organizational skills, where prioritizing work and changing schedules is standard practice
• Have the intention of securing long term employment


Remuneration
Our client is seeking Dependable Tradesmen or Trade Assistant to join their team. We are able to consider those with Temporary Working Rights in Australia, however we ideally would like a commitment of 6+ Months.
Depending on experience, qualifications and past work history the salary package will include, remuneration based on the following;
• Casual (Possible Temp to Perm)
• $35.00 to $45.00 Per Hour (Flat)
• Superannuation on all hours worked
• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am to 4:00pm
