Job Summary:
As a Night Audit Staff Member at Mom Darwin YHA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the hostel during the night hours. This position demands a high level of professionalism, exceptional customer service, and the ability to handle various scenarios independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Provide outstanding customer service to guests during check-ins, check-outs, and any inquiries.
Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

Security:

Monitor security systems and report any unusual activities or incidents.
Ensure the safety and well-being of guests and the hostel property.

Front Desk Operations:

Manage front desk activities, including answering phone calls, handling reservations, and assisting guests with inquiries.
Facilitate late-night check-ins and check-outs.


Night Audit:

Conduct nightly audits to ensure accurate accounting of guest transactions.
Verify and reconcile financial transactions, including room charges and cash handling.

Emergency Response:

Be prepared to handle emergency situations, including contacting appropriate authorities if necessary.
Implement emergency protocols and procedures.

Autonomous Work:

Work independently during the night shifts, demonstrating self-reliance and initiative.
Resolve issues and make decisions in the absence of immediate supervision.

Adaptability:

Navigate and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Handle unexpected situations with composure and problem-solving skills.

Skills:

Previous experience in night audit or a similar role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and with diplomacy.
Familiarity with hotel management systems and basic accounting principles.
