House Keeper/cook/animal Carer/gardener Needed On Family Owned Cattle Station, Winton Qld. Start Apr

We are a fun, caring hard working family on a large Cattle Station in North Western QLD looking for our next special backpacker to be part of our family. We are offering a great outback experience – please come and join us like so many fabulous backpackers have over the years (many we keep in close contact with).

Requirements & Job Description:
General - Female, over 24 years of age, English first language, organized, have initiative, be neat, tidy, flexible and up for new experiences. Have a current driver’s license for a manual car.

This position has many elements to it which makes it never boring including:
- Household duties – assist in keeping the household running well
- Cooking – assist with cooking the evening meal
- Animal Care – daily feeding and caring for dogs, chooks, calves and horses
- Good Horse Knowledge - not a necessity but an advantage
- Station work - you may be needed to help with the management of cattle from time to time
- Garden maintenance – assist with keeping a nice garden

Hours – 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Location - We live on a large cattle station only 65km (40 minutes) north of Winton, QLD. We are situated in a great location where you have the best of both worlds – station life with the peace and quiet, yet so close to town you can go in and have a town day. Winton township has everything you need - chemist, supermarkets, clothes shop, bakery, bank, bars, pubs, hairdressers, doctors, a great hospital. There are buses and planes to Townsville and Brisbane throughout the week. Winton is a very popular tourist destination with people from all over Australia and the globe visiting yearly.

Accommodation – we are offering a separate fully furnished quarters with queen size beds and linen provided. The Quarters contain a kitchen, bathroom, living area and separate bedrooms. We offer this accommodation as part of the pay package (Electricity, water etc is all paid for by us).

Car – A car is a big advantage, however not compulsory. A Manual License is essential.

Food – all food during working hours is provided.

Phone – we require you to have your own mobile phone with a Telstra SIM CARD kept in full credit, so you are always contactable.

Internet – we have mobile phone coverage and wifi.

Start time/Payment structure – We are looking for the right person to start in April 2025. The position is open ended. We do offer the sign off for 2nd & 3rd Year Visas. We are offering very good wages and an excellent way of life. We hope to hear from you!
