Ability is a blender of mineral oxide pigments for colouring concrete, mortar and asphalt; the manufacturer of a unique coating system for concrete products; and the marketer of a range of admixtures for the concrete industry. In essence, Ability markets ‘Colours for Concrete’.

The Role

This role is located in the company’s production facility. The production areas can sometimes be noisy. The person will be required to manually lift and move items of inventory, operate a folk lift, read a formula and weigh the powders and work in a dusty and dirty environment whilst wearing appropriate personal protection equipment.

The Person

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-starter who does not need a lot of direct supervision. The role is production and would suit somebody who has had some experience in these environments.

We are looking for somebody:

• Who is physically fit and enjoys some strenuous work
• Can follow specific verbal and written instructions accurately
• Can easily join in as part of a small team
• Fork lift licence desirable
• Has a great eye for detail
• Be willing to learn

The Offer

The position is casual initially four half days per week. Our normal day is from 8am to 4 pm and are looking at an 8-12 shift four days on a flexible roster. Some days, could be extended to a full day when required. We offer flexibility in terms of work time if the right person is studying.

We want somebody to start immediately. We offer a casual rate of $31.35 per hour plus superannuation.
