Job Description
Murrakei Farms currently grows strawberries on tables, raspberries and blackberries under tunnels.
We are located in Red Hills in the north-west of Tasmania.
To set you up for success we ensure you will be provided with an induction on the farm before you start picking & some short training showing you what to do
There are a few things that you should know before you apply:
We require all workers to have a Tax File Number
If you are not an Australian resident you must have a valid working visa
Payment will be by piecework agreement as outlined in the Horticulture Award 2010, providing the quality is to the standards and specifications outlined by Murrakei Farms
Preference will be given to those workers who are able to work for at least 4 weeks and can work weekends
In peak season, berry picking is 7 days a week from 6am to 2pm but days may be longer or shorter depending on the weather & season
