Production And Horticulture Supervisor

Our family-owned farm in Gobur, Victoria, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Production and Horticulture Supervisor to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to oversee day-to-day operations on our horticulture business and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality produce, reporting to the Managing Director.

Base pay
$65,000 - $74,000

Responsibilities:

· Manage the daily operations

· Monitor crop growth and development, ensuring optimal production and quality

· Trial and implement the best practices for soil management irrigation, pest control and other horticultural practices

· Liaise with the Managing Director as well as external partners and suppliers

· Identity and report unusual disease or plant pest signed and carry our emergency disease procedures

Qualifications:

· Relevant AQF Certificate II or Certificate IV and previous relevant experience in the same or similar position (essential)

· Experience with farm machinery and equipment operations (essential)



Required skills:

· Proficient knowledge of horticultural practices to manage the growth and health of plants

· Strong time management and organisational skills

· Excellent leadership skills

· Strong work ethic and proven initiative

· Confident decision making and delegation of tasks and duties
