We are seeking an experienced Maintenance / Yardperson for this busy tourist based venue located in the Northern Territory. 

The purpose of the role is to maintain the complex, including guest maintenance issues, all lists generated by Housekeeping, Front Office, and any duties as required ensuring the cost efficient day to day running of the complex. Inspection and correction of all equipment on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and ideally hold qualifications in a trade.

$31.23 Monday-Friday
$37.47 Saturday
$43.72 Sunday
$62.45 Public Holidays

Position Purpose:
 
Undertake general grounds and maintenance work around the property.
 
Responsibilities:
Identify & solves maintenance problems
Repair items where qualified to do so.
Keep General Manager advised of all potential problems in regards to the property and equipment
Attend to guest requests efficiently, constantly striving to provide total customer satisfaction
Ensure regular servicing programs are in place and documented for all guest rooms, crew areas and equipment. Do on-job repairs as required.  Report any unusual circumstances immediately
Maintain the property in good working condition with due regard to safety of all persons.
Maintain pool equipment.
General grounds duties 
Carry out maintenance tasks on all operating equipment, plumbing as per the maintenance plan.
Ensure safe work practices are observed.
Overall responsibilities for the sewerage equipment and power equipment (if applicable).
Ensure the maintenance vehicle is serviced and maintained.
Maintain workshop in clean & tidy manner
Ensure personal presentation is of the highest possible standard.
Create good public relations when in contact with guests and staff members.
Comply with work practices and wear protective clothing where it is necessary and has been provided by the establishment.
Report all unsafe work conditions including broken equipment to Manager.
Use safe manual handling techniques at all times and take a consultative role to assist in achieving a healthy and safe working environment.
Perform any other duties within the employee’s range of competence as required by management.

Essential Requirements: 
Previous experience in the position or as a handyman.
Drivers License 
Able to work in hot, humid conditions 

Preferred:
Qualifications in a trade
