Job Description

Small plant-based and allergy-friendly cafe in an organic food store in Townsville is looking for an experienced chef. There is a small breakfast and lunch menu to master and scope to develop and add your own meals, specials, events, cakes, pastries and more! We also want to expand our offerings to include more take-out meals and more baked goods. We are a young business with huge opportunity for the right person. Our operating hrs are from 08h00-14h00 Tues to Sat so there is a plenty of time to enjoy life in the tropics.

Basic skills and experience -
Must have experience as a chef and a keen interest in plant-based and allergy-friendly cooking and baking
Able to run a small kitchen with limited assistance (cafe seats less than 20)
Help plan ordering, specials and events
Prep food and maintain clean kitchen space
Assist with additional cafe activities as required
Must love fresh produce, creative plant-based cooking and being part of a small team focused on delivering healthy, cruelty-free food choices

Part-time possible. Starting mid Jan 2025 (neg). 6 month commitment required.
