Hostel Receptionist

Casual Receptionist Position – Backpacker Hostel, Brisbane

The Mahony Group is seeking a casual receptionist for our vibrant backpacker hostel on Upper Roma Street, Brisbane. If you’re a dynamic individual with a knack for multitasking and a passion for customer service, we’d love to hear from you!

Pay: $31.23 per hour + penalty rates on weekends and public holidays.
Shifts: 7.5 hours per shift.

What We’re Looking For:

- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a focus on keeping busy and improving processes.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- A willingness to assist with various tasks, from guest services to general cleaning.

Responsibilities:

- Checking guests in and out efficiently and professionally.
- Providing exceptional customer service, including resolving complaints.
- Managing bookings, taking payments, and updating reservations.
- Responding to guest inquiries via email.
- Keeping communal areas clean, including kitchen cleaning.
- Undertaking general cleaning tasks during quieter periods.
