Dairy Farm Milking Position and help with childcare – Must currently be in Australia
Middle Tarwin, South Gippsland, Victoria *
We are looking for 1 staff member to assist us with the day to day running of our dairy farm in Middle Tarwin. It is a 500 cow dairy farm with a 50 unit rotary dairy. We calve once a year June to August. We do our own silage and hay during spring and early summer so tractor experience is a bonus, so is fencing, welding, etc. Accommodation available free in a bungalow beside our house shared bathroom inside, including free meals in return for assistance with childcare, and sharing in the cooking and cleaning, must have own transportation. We have a reference you can contact who stayed with us recently.
Duties will include: using quad bike to collect cows from paddock, milking, mastitis detection, cleaning, and general farm duties. Milking times are 5am and 2:30pm. This is a fast paced work environment so please only apply if you are fit and willing to work with high intensity.
Minimum of 30-38 hours per week, possible more for capable person.
No couples – please don’t apply. Dairy farm experience desirable however on farm training will be provided so if you have no experience but are interested please apply (must have some aptitude for farming/manual labour).
Accommodation available free in our house, including meals in return for assistance with childcare, sharing in the cooking and cleaning, must have own transportation.
Duration: Preference given to those seeking 3rd year visa (6 months duration). We have previously hosted WHV holders and au pairs and can provide references.
About the area: Middle Tarwin is a fantastic location with close proximity to many coastal attractions such as Inverloch, Venus Bay, Waratah Bay, Sandy Point, Wilsons Promontory National Park, etc. It is 2 hours SE of Melbourne.

We love anything outdoors, camping, waterskiing, 4×4, etc. We have a team of young enthusiastic people and want someone who ready to get stuck in and work hard.
