Second Chef-Tourism Property-Remote Tasmania
We are seeking an experienced Second Chef for this busy property located in very remote Tasmania.
The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain a clean kitchen while utilising their excellent knowledge of and passion for food to make great meals.
This role would suit candidates who have a love of the outdoors who are wanting to experience a peaceful, tranquil location in the pristine wilderness.
The role is a live in position in a very remote, wilderness location and therefore requires full relocation for the duration of the season. The role is not located in or near any city.
Enjoy fantastic experiences on your days off such as river cruises, nature walks, kayaking, flora & fauna and fishing in this unique location.
NOT SUITABLE FOR WORKING HOLIDAY VISA EXTENSION.
Immediate Start
Contract until mid-May (with possible extension)
Package: (Fulltime Position with annual leave)
Mon-Fri: $29.64
Sat: $37.05
Sun: $44.46
Public Holiday: $66.69
Plus Overtime rates
Potential for overtime in peak season
Split shifts
Free Accommodation and duty meals - Own room in a share staff house
Cooking facilities in the house
Duties:
Assist with prep and cooking of meals
Maintain a clean kitchen
Run the kitchen on Head Chef's days off
Work as part of a close knit team taking direction from the Head Chef
Other duties as required
Other Information:
No Pets are permitted on site
Up to 17 staff in summer months
NO Mobile reception, Basic Internet Only
NO Television reception
Access via sealed roads or Bus / pick up from closest airport
Located in the Tasmanian wilderness - relocation is required
Not suitable for visa extension
