Job Description
Rohde Egg Co. is a free range egg producing business, consisting of two farms, Rohde’s Free Range Eggs and Blewitt Springs Free Range Eggs, based at Tarlee and McLaren Vale respectively.
We are seeking casual Poultry Farm Workers (Egg Collectors and Graders) to join our team, based at Tarlee.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited too:
? Collecting, sorting and packing eggs.
? Conducting bird, shed, yard, feed and water checks.
? Grading and packaging eggs using our grading machine.
? Loading and unloading eggs on and off pallets.
? Basic maintenance and yard/farm work.
? Assisting with the placement and depopulation of flocks if required.
About You:
? Available to work between 7:00am and 5:00pm over seven days, depending on rostering.
? Physically fit and able to lift 12kgs.
? Able to understand and follow instructions and procedures clearly.
? High level of attention to detail.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Other Details:
? Couples strongly encouraged to apply
? Casual hourly Award wages paid, on average 35-38 hours weekly
? Duration - minimum 4-6 month commitment required
? Shared house accommodation available on or near the farm for $110/week/person + electricity usage
? Location - 1hr from Adelaide CBD
Counts towards 2nd year visa / 3rd year visa for WHV holders (417 & 462 visas)
Applicants must have their own reliable car for driving on country/dirt roads, have lived in share house accommodation before, and be in Australia with a legal work permit to be considered. Experience working with animals or on a farm will be considered favourably.
Due to our ‘Biosecurity Policy,’ candidates must not have birds or pigs of any kind at their place of residence.
