Cook-Remote Coastal Far North Queensland
We are seeking an experienced Cook for a live in position based in remote Far North Queensland.
The successful candidate must be experienced in preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes. Preference for candidates with experience working solo. Candidates must have a Food Safety Certificate and be comfortable covering the Head Chef's days off.
Working under excellent management, you will enjoy a laid-back lifestyle where you can immerse yourself in the local community.
Outside of work, enjoy the local fishing & spectacular sunsets.
The venue caters to the local, tourist and corporate market.
This is a full time role offering annual leave. With Free accommodation provided, this is an excellent location to escape the high cost of city living.

Package: (FULL-TIME HOURS with ANNUAL LEAVE)
$28.87 per hour Monday-Friday
$36.09 per hour -Saturday
$43.31 per hour-Sunday
5 day week (Monday & Tuesday off)
Split shifts - lunch and dinner
Free Accommodation and Duty Meals
Shared Staff house off site, own room, shared living areas & bathroom
Duties:
Answering to the head chef, prep and cooking of bistro style meals
Covering the head chef's days off
Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes - lots of prep and cleaning involved.
Candidates must be confident and capable cooking steaks and seafood.
Cleaning of the kitchen
Maintaining customer service standards, ensuring that customers are served in a professional and diligent manner
Providing fast and efficient service
Ensure all meals are prepared and presented in a professional manner
Communicating effectively with customers and fellow staff
Compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act 1995
Compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations
Catering for conferences in-house
Catering for takeaway food for offsite functions/conferences
Candidate Requirements:
Candidates must have a Food Safety Certificate
Previous experience working shifts on your own preferred
Minimum 6 month commitment
