Job Description
We are seeking a cook and hospitality all rounder to join our team ASAP (cook, kitchen attendant, bar attendant, food attendant, guest services). This person MUST have kitchen experience as we need someone who would like to work both in the kitchen and in front of house.
This position would be casual, guaranteed 30 hours per week and flexing up to 40 hours depending on meal numbers and room occupancy and is perfect for someone looking to save money for their next adventure. We ask that this person stay a minimum 3 months.
Start date: ASAP
This person/s must love customer service, be able to multi-task, be able to work by themselves and as part of a team, must have kitchen experience in cooking and prepping, must be able to go where needed according the the needs of the business and must have experience in a similar role.
We are in our busier time of the year, so this person must be able to step up and handle the pressure of busy service. A social personality is a must, as this person will be on shifts where chatting to our guests is essential. We have a solid reputation as a friendly country pub that provides excellent service, with high quality meals and a great country pub experience, we hope to hire someone for our team who strives to meet this level of service. The position would require you to work nights and weekends, so please be prepared for this type of roster. Must be confident handling money, processing transactions, delivering meals, prepping a kitchen, upholding high standards of food safety, cooking tasks, taking bookings for the tourist park (on a reservation system) and will be required to perform close & open procedures both in the front of house and the kitchen. Must have a Queensland RSA.
Accommodation can be provided in a share house with other backpackers. Please note the hotel is 42kms from the closest grocery store, so if you have your own car that is great, otherwise there is a bus that you can catch on weekdays to and from Miles.

Description:
Busy country pub owned and run by young couple Danny & Natalie. They purchased the pub just over 12 months ago and since then they have done a number of renovations & refurbishments to update the old pub and breath some life back into the place. It is now thriving with locals regularly popping in for coffee, drinks and/or dinner. Travellers also camp overnight and visit the hotel both for lunch & dinner.
