Hospitality Role - Housekeeping / Food & Beverage

Thousand Lakes Wilderness Lodge has one position for an experienced Hospitality All-Rounder to join us for the upcoming season. Preference is for applicants with previous experience in hotel housekeeping, food & beverage. We will provide on-the-job training to the successful applicant.

A boutique wilderness lodge with only 9 rooms, staff enjoy a balanced work/life environment. Perfect for those who enjoy hiking, bushwalking, fishing, walking, experiencing native flora & fauna, peacefulness & solitude. DUTIES:
- HOUSEKEEPING: bathrooms, making beds, mopping floors, vacuuming,
dusting, cleaning windows & fly-screens.
- KITCHEN HAND: assisting with meal preparation, serving meals, clearing tables, washing dishes.
- OTHER LODGE DUTIES: set fires, clean E-bikes, guest services, outdoor presentation of Lodge.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience in housekeeping preferred.
- Current Food Handlers Certificate for Hospitality Industry (Online course OR obtain prior to commencement).
- Comfortable working in a remote location.
- Excellent presentation & strong attention to detail.
- Friendly, down-to-earth, positive and able to work productively in a team, or on your own.
- Fluent English required (written & verbal).
- Minimum commitment of four months.
- Australian bank account & tax file number.
- HAVE YOUR OWN CAR - this MUST be stated when applying or your application will NOT be considered.

ROLE:
- Casual Position - commencing asap.
- Above award hourly rate
- Free staff accommodation - 9 kilometres from the Lodge.
- Your own bedroom in a 3-bedroom staff house.
- Free amenities: electricity, water.
- Minimum 20, up to 38 hours per week i.a.w Hospitality Award.
- Does NOT qualify for 2nd or 3rd year visa extension.
