Food Testing Laboratory Assistant

Australian Food Microbiology is a small and dynamic food testing laboratory, providing food safety support, food, water and environmental testing to food businesses across Australia.
We are seeking a motivated and active person to support our analysts and staff at our food microbiology laboratory. The job is for a casual laboratory assistant, for between 3-5 days per week.
The job involves keeping the laboratory clean and orderly, sterilising waste, preparing microbiological test media, QC checks on laboratory media, drafting test reports and collection of food samples across Sydney. Training is provided. A current Drivers license is required. An interest in science, food and/or microbiology is useful.
