Pizza Chef

The North Beach Pavilion are expanding trading hours! We are looking for a Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team to make delicious pizzas based on both traditional and modern recipes.

Pizza Chef responsibilities include preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing customers’ orders considering special requests. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with various pizza types and be available to work during business hours.

Ultimately, you will help increase client satisfaction by preparing high-quality pizzas.

The duties of a pizza maker typically include:

Preparing pizza dough
Rolling out and topping pizzas with ingredients, as per recipes
Cooking pizzas in wood-fired, gas or electric ovens
Removing pizzas from oven and preparing them for serving or sale
Ensuring countertops are kept clean and tidy and maintaining oven and cooking utensils
Coordinating with kitchen and dining room staff
A pizza chef needs the following skills and attributes:

Knowledge of ingredients, recipes and pizza-making process
Ability to perform pizza-making duties without supervision
Ability to use pizza ovens
Reliability, professionalism and speed
Organizational skills
Communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure in a hectic work environment
Flexibility and willingness to work shifts, weekends and evenings
Job Types: Casual

Rates:
Monday - Friday $30.10/hour
Saturdays $36.12/hour
Sundays $36.12/hour
Public Holidays $60.20/hour

Wollongong, NSW 2500: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:

Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Authorization: Australia (Required)

Hours:
A selection of evenings and day shifts available. Approximately 30-40 hours per week. Immediate start available with employment up until end of February.
