Live And Work On K'gari (fraser Island) - Couple Or 2 Friends

Why just visit K’gari (Fraser Island) when you can live and work there?

Get out of the city and experience the relaxed environment of island life.
We are seeking 2 enthusiastic workers (friends or a couple as you will need to share accommodation) to help manage our small family-run resort from November 10th to February 1st. Opportunity to stay longer if you’re a good fit for Fraser Island Beach Houses. Please note this role and our location is not-eligble for 88 days regional work.

Outside of work, there is plenty of exploring to do. Go fishing, take a walk on Seventy- Five Mile beach, or relax by the pool. K’gari has many attractions to explore, if you own a 4WD. There is Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, and Champagne Pools, just to name a few.
This is an excellent opportunity for a couple who loves adventure and wishes to save money, as accommodation is included.

Package:
- Casual 25 – 35 hours per week
- Work 4 - 6 hours per day, 6 days a week (cleaning schedule dependent on when guest’s check-out)
- Accommodation and utilities included. 1 Bedroom fully furnished apartment with kitchenette, bathroom/laundry and loungeroom
- Access to pool within property
Position:
- General housekeeping, bedmaking, cleaning houses, and laundry duties.
- Cleaning experience preferred, but not essential. Happy to provide training.
- Willing to learn small maintenance tasks e.g change a flyscreen
- Must have Tax File Number
- 4WD owner preferred, but not essential
- If you don’t own a 4WD - Transport to Rainbow Beach or Hervey Bay is required. We can collect you from there.

Additional information:
- On a typical day you will start work between 8am - 9am by cleaning two houses before 1pm and then the rest of the day is yours to enjoy!
- Telstra Mobile Coverage only. Optus and Vodaphone coverage are very limited.
- Australia Post-delivery only
- Basic supplies can be bought at Eurong shop and bakery.
- Every 10 to 20 days Woolworths grocery pickup from the mainland.

On quieter days we may have the opportunity to take you to one of K’gari’s attractions such as Eli Creek or Lake Mckenzie.
-- Unfortunately we do not qualify for the 88 Days WHV. For housekeeping positions eligible for the 88 Days regional work the employer must be located in "Northern or very remote Australia". Our post code 4581 is not listed in this category.
