Live-in Management Couple

The Maywild group is launching it's newest venue , located in the beautiful Hunter Valley wine region and are seeking a hardworking and responsible Live-In Couple to take on the roles of Grounds Supervisor and Guest Services Supervisor, joining our team with a long-term commitment in mind.

We are looking for a couple with a strong work ethic, high capabilities for working independently, and comfort with remote management.

You will need to be quick on your feet and have strong problem-solving skills.

Grounds Supervisor
This is a unique opportunity to maintain and enhance building structures while also working in the gardens and on the grounds. As the property has been newly taken over, there will be projects starting right away, and you will be expected to help where needed.

You will be responsible for the upkeep and improvement of the grounds, working with the Estate Manager. Handyman/trade skills and gardening experience are preferred. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the grounds of the property
- Ensuring the property is maintained
- Mowing lawns, gardening, weeding, whipper snipping, hedging, etc.
- Rubbish removal and management
- Maintenance, troubleshooting, and fixing things around the property
- Resource management, including water and gas
- Assisting with event setup
- Contributing to new projects and helping where needed as the property develops

Guest Services Manager
You will be responsible for setting up all the main administrational areas of the FOH operation and running the front of house component of the property including but not limited to;
⁃ manager and oversee all aspect of the guest experience
⁃ Maintain guest and customer relations and online reviews.
⁃ Respond to guest requests or needs on site
⁃ Administrative and office duties as required.
⁃ Manage and oversee wedding & event operation
⁃ Quality control in accommodation and housekeeping standards
⁃ Linen ordering and management
⁃ Online bookings management
⁃ Managing check in and check out's of weddings and general accomodation stays
⁃ Conducting wedding inspections
⁃ On the day wedding and event co-ordination
⁃ Assisting with event set up, including food and beverage components
- Assisting with housekeeping and training of housekeeping team

Previous experience in a trade role and hospitality front of house position/ events/ admin is preferred.
