Cook / Chef–Remote Queensland
We are seeking an experienced Cook / Chef for this off grid property located in Far North Queensland.
Candidates should have previous experience in short order and main meal cooking – must be willing to be hands on with prep and dishes and have previous experience in a similar role.
The property offers onsite fuel, food, guest accommodation and camping grounds.
Being off grid, this role will suit candidates who enjoy living and working remote. If you love 4wding, camping, fishing and nature you will enjoy this location. The weather is warm all year round.
This is a very hands on role working across all areas of the property.
Immediate Start - until early December
Package:
$33.99 per hour Monday-Friday
$44.34 per hour Saturday & Sunday
Accommodation & Basic Meals Provided
Duties:
General cooking and preparation of short order / bistro meals
Assist the head chef with maintaining a clean kitchen
Ensure all correct food handling procedures are followed
Offer excellence in food presentation
Work solo on the head chef's days off
Work as part of the team
Other duties as required
Candidate Requirements:
Willing to live and work in a remote destination
Previous experience in a similar role
Be a team player
Excellent communication skills
Additional Information:
Candidates need to be able to handle living and working in in a remote location.
Ideally have own car
Telstra 3G / 4G coverage available on site only
