Farm Hand

Join a dynamic young team in a mixed farm operation 50kms north of Warren in Outback NSW, to assist with the harvest season (canola and wheat) and summer cropping preparation (cotton).

The ideal candidate is someone who possesses the following skills:
- Good communication and time management skills with the ability to follow direction
- Be able to work unsupervised and be a good team player
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
The following attributes are preferred, but not essential:
- Experience working in broadacre farming
- Mechanically minded with workshop skills and basic ability to service, maintain, and repair machinery
- Other highly regarded qualifications include; mechanical or welding certifications and chemical handling certification

Pay rate is $30/hr + superannuation

Hours of work generally around 38+ hours per week, but will vary depending on the seasonal farming requirements (ie greater during harvest).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operating machinery including tractors and chaser bins for wheat harvest
- Assist with all aspects of the cropping cycle, including starting syphons
- Mechanical maintenance, servicing and repairs on farm equipment and machinery
- Assist with day-to-day sheep and cattle husbandry tasks

Accommodation is included on farm free of charge, including electricity.

Require own car given location is 50kms from the nearest town.

Commitments to stay for longer periods will be considered favorably.

Plenty to see and do around the local area, including visiting the iconic Macquarie Marshes and Macquarie River (popular for camping and fishing), great local pubs in the region as well as local community events, only 1.5 hours from the major Regional City of Dubbo.
