The Opportunity

Located at the Feed-Mill in our Tong Park farm and reporting to the Feed-Mill Production Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure local grain growers and customers are serviced as to ensure grain is safely received, stored and delivered.

Responsibilities

• Sampling grain received at our site and testing for protein, moisture and contaminants against specifications
• Receiving sampled grain via truck at weighbridge and compiling weight information electronically
• Monitoring grain flow from truck unloading and through to onto hopper, auger or other equipment
• Protecting and storing grain in bunkers or permanent silo storage (this includes building, breaking-down and tarping
bunkers)
• General cleaning duties such as sweeping, shovelling, blowing down dust and any other additional housekeeping
duties as required
• Operating equipment including augers, tractors, hoppers & loaders

About You

You will have prior experience in labouring, are comfortable working in confined spaces at times and have the following:

• Exposure to the agriculture, logistics or construction industry
• Have worked in a role where safety was a component
• Basic computer literacy
• A forklift, front-end loader ticket or an HR Truck license is desirable
