Zestiny Farm, a 50 acre regenerative farm on the Central Coast of NSW, is seeking a highly motivated and hard working individual who is passionate about learning all aspects of growing high quality nutrition packed fruit and vegetables. The role would suit a recent agriculture graduate or ambitious farm worker wanting to learn all aspects of our farm and business.

About Zestiny Farm

At Zestiny Farm, we believe in farming to produce fruit and vegetables high in nutrient content for our subscription members and wholesale clients. Combining traditional methods with innovative techniques, we are three years into a process of moving from mono-cropping to producing 12 fruits and 50 vegetables a season using regenerative farming techniques.

Role Overview

The Assistant Farm Manager will play a vital role in the daily operations of Zestiny Farm, working alongside the Farm Manager to ensure smooth workflows, productivity, and excellence in all aspects of farm management. This is a hands on position whereby much of the management will include doing and leading by example. Prior farm machinery operation experience is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Vegetable Operations: planting, weeding, maintenance and harvesting
Horticulture Operations: picking, spray program, mowing
Livestock: feeding, health checks, egg collection
Packing: assist with the packing, cold storage and procurement of produce
Team Supervision: Lead by example and support farm staff to learn weeding, picking and planting methods
Health & Safety: Implement and uphold safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and creating a safe workplace.
Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of farm activities, progress, and budgets to support strategic planning and reporting.
Sustainability Initiatives: Champion regenerative growing practices and explore innovative approaches to enhance our effectiveness


Qualifications & Experience

Prior experience or qualifications in agriculture or a related role.
Experience operating heavy machinery preferably tractors
Computer and digital proficiency for record-keeping and reporting.
Leadership potential and strong communication skills for helping team members
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Physical stamina and willingness to engage in hands-on tasks
Truck and forklift licence (desirable not a requirement)
