Hostel Manager

The Mahony Group is looking for Manager’s who are passionate about the adventure tourism industry to fill this hostel Manager position located in Windsor, Melbournes You will have an exciting opportunity to work in the ever-expanding Mahony group and work in connection with our other property managers.

Your role will include the following responsibilities:

Operations

Running the day-to-day operations of the hostel including:

Implementing standards and procedures

Deal with issues as they arise

Dealing with suppliers/ordering

Dealing with contractors eg: Trades, maintenance

Organise housekeeping to ensure cleaning is up to a high standard

Oversee reservation enquiries, check in and check outs, payments
Work in tandem with our Pub and help out at the bar when neccesary



Financial

Ensure there is correct Financial reporting to the owner

Checking of bills and communicating them with Head office

Budget costs accordingly



Staff Management

Hire and onboard new staff

Roster receptionists and Housekeepers

Be a leader and train receptionists and housekeepers in all aspects of their jobs



Customers

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Monitor and respond to guest review’s

Deal with difficult customers as they arise


Experience/Skills required

Strong ability to multi task

Strong communication skills

The ability to work in a team or alone

Good understanding of processes and efficiency

Financial reporting experience
