TechniGroup Australia requires an enthusiastic Trades Assistant to work with our city services team in the delivery of contracts and works in metropolitan Sydney.

This position will be integral in the delivery of high-quality outcomes for our clients in painting, maintenance and pressure washing. The role will be delivered around open space infrastructure assets, such as bus shelters, bridges, playgrounds, footpaths around Sydney Region.

TechniGroup operate over a 7-day roster, with opportunity for on-call and overtime. The rostering demands of this position allow for predictable planning and work-life balance.

Tasks:
• Surface Preparation & Protective Coatings
• Pressure Washing
• Graffiti Removal
• Joint Sealants
• Paint, Prime and Seal, utilising airless spray equipment and/or brushes, rollers.
• Maintain accurate data entry records by utilising our dedicated company app & software to collect predetermined information in relation to all jobs
Essential competencies (or willingness to achieve):
• MUST have OHS White Card & valid driver’s licence
• Certificate in or working towards trades based qualification/competency
• Rail Industry Safety Induction (RISI) and associated medical assessment
• EWP and Working at Heights Certificates
• Asbestos and Silica Awareness Training
• NSW Police Check and Working with Children Check
Applicants would benefit with experience in the following areas:
• Operate small machines - Pressure washer, airless spray, etc
• High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail
• A ‘can do’ attitude and keen to learn new skills
• Be friendly, courteous and of neat appearance - show a genuine desire to help fellow team members and complete the job.
The package:
• $60,000 - $67,000 plus superannuation
• Full Time – 38-40 hours per week, with opportunity for overtime and shift penalty rates as required.
