Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated tutors to join our team and lead guided reading and writing courses for primary school students. As a tutor at Mica Academy, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills in a supportive and engaging environment. You will work closely with students, guiding them through carefully designed lessons that encourage a love for reading and enhance their writing abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct guided reading sessions, using selected texts to improve students' comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency.
Teach writing skills, from basic sentence construction to more advanced narrative and persuasive writing techniques.
Provide personalized feedback and support to students, helping them develop confidence in their reading and writing abilities.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student.
Collaborate with other tutors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents about their child's development.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
Experience in teaching or tutoring reading and writing, preferably with primary school students.
Strong knowledge of literacy development and teaching methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
