About the Role

This is a role in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment. SIL means supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.

As a Disability Support Worker in this role, you will provide active, person centred support to a female client a strong and assertive personality which can be a valuable asset when advocating for their needs and preferences. In order to provide the best support to our client, we are seeking applicants that have experience in the use of behaviour support plans and de-escalating behaviours. Due to the nature of these services, you will be required to work across a 24/7 roster. Roster includes sleepovers, weekends and public holidays. Availability for overnight shifts is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Follow personalised support and behaviour plans while assisting clients with daily living activities and encouraging community engagement
Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping
Providing support to clients who have complex needs or behaviours of concern
Skills & Experience

An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays
Ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
