Job Description
The Holidays Collection is a large, well established company that manages over 300 beautiful beach houses and country retreats. We have 40 properties in Kangaroo Valley and an office in the main street.
We are looking for a full-time Property Manager who can commit for a MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS, to be responsible for the following key tasks:
- quality control of the appearance and workings of the properties
- pre-checking properties on the day of guest arrival
- holding the after hours phone and attending to call out issues, if they do arise. The phone is held during the week and on weekends. If the phone is held on the weekend, the following Wednesday is taken off as a day in lieu
- performing some maintenance / handyman tasks
- escalating more complex tasks to electricians, plumbers and other trades
- looking after the company vehicle that is used for the job, including keeping it stocked with necessary supplies (light bulbs, batteries, fire wood, gas bottles, cleaning equipment and the like)
- overseeing the quality of the cleaning of the properties and liaising with the sub-contracted cleaning crews as needed
- communicating with owners and guests as needed, via email and phone
- communicating, as needed, with the main operations office in Gerringong
The Kangaroo Valley office will be reconfigured to have a small office area and accommodation for the Property Manager. There is a kitchen, shower & toilet bathroom, NBN, and parking.
The role is best suited to a single person, not a couple.
Good hands on, trades, handyman or other physical work experience is important. The ability to talk to guests, owners and sub-contractors is also important. A very good command of English is therefore vital.
Remuneration will be in accordance with the Real Estate Industry Award.
