Job description

Looking for a builder to assist with the completion work of a shouse (2 bed + 2 bath 66m2 home) for a day rate with payment every 3 days. The structure is up, most of the external walls, windows and door frames are installed. It sits on a concrete slab. The block has power and water. The septic system is plumbed in and complete. What is left is what we require assistance with:

Complete the external walls and frames which is about 9m of cement sheet wall and steel frame to be erected.
Install the doors and door locks (6 doors, 2 sliding and 4 swing doors). The steel door frames are installed
Install 4 internal steel frame walls each 3.3 m wide x 63 mm x (2.1 to 3.2 m )high.
Installation of 2 x shower base and cement sheet wall around bathroom
Installation of 2 x vanity basins
Cladding of internal walls with Gypsum sheets Bedroom walls 4 walls 3 m L x 2.5 m H. Once side only(rear side see below. )
Cladding of internal walls with cement sheet 7 mm blue board sheets 2m x 1.2 m (44 sheets in total)
Installation of flat pack kitchen
Tiling of bathrooms and kitchen
Installation of floating wooden panel floor for bedrooms
Installation of flat pack kitchen – single wall type
We estimate 2 to 4 weeks work at 6 days a week depending on if 1 or 2 people work.

All materials will be provided and ready at site prior to the beginning of work.

The site is about 80 km from the Darwin CBD. A hire car can be provided or if using your own car a rate 0.75C/km can be provided.

A work days is an expected departure from Darwin at 7:00 AM with an expect arrival time at 8:00 AM. With 15 min breaks in morning and afternoon and a 30 min break for Lunch. Work should be stop each day at 4:30 PM. 8 hours will be paid for each day. A day rate is to be provided and after each 3 days of labour the salary and travel costs are to be paid.

Expected start is mid May.

A contractor or Sole trader with their own ABD is preferred however a casual hire arrangement can be made.
